George Smith was born in Birmingham, England, in 1967. He graduated from Imperial College London in 1992 and received a double doctorate in economics and management and econometrics. He was previously CEO of Morgan Stanley Asia, co-head of global equities and a member of the firm's management committee. He has worked for many well-known investment companies such as Barclays (Asia) and Blackstone Investment Company. For 30 years, Smith has insisted on implementing high-quality investment strategies, focusing on high technology, high-end manufacturing, quality services and consumption. With a cumulative fund management and investment scale of more than $80 billion, Smith has worked in Asia for more than 16 years, primarily in Hong Kong, Singapore and South Korea.
